New York Racing Association (NYRA) officials have announced across-the-board bag increases for your conference than opens July 2-6. All classes of races will receive increases, said Bill Nader, NYRA senior vice-president.

There are a large amount of changes on this agenda, including some wallet reductions or eliminations of stakes, but we made sure that NYRAs commitment to quality remains in-tact, he explained. The entire dollar reduction in stakes is almost $4 million, but much of that money is going to be added back in stakes.

It will help NYRA reach a much better balance with dollars allocated to limits and over night races, and be more receptive to the available horse supply from meet to meet.

Nader mentioned, this year the increases are a whole lot more effective, whilst the NYRA generally improves bags each year at Saratoga.

Overnight limits will carry bags of $70,000, a walk of $5,000. New York-bred races will see sizable increases in contrast to the existing Belmont conference. Maiden particular fat races will jump $6,000 to $47,000 while purses in first-level money competitions will sky-rocket $9,000 to $50,000.

The NYRA may also continue to raise the bag of any race with at least eight horses thats moved off the turf by 20-percent in hopes of deterring scores, a policy launched in 2013 at Belmont.
