Google Talk? What is this? Is Google getting into online telephony phenomenon? Yes they're! The research giant now supplies a beta version down load of Google Talk at no-charge. http://www.google.com/talk/

Google Talk allows people to IM or make calls over the Internet using a PC, speakers and microphone, again; no-charge. The new Google software can be downloaded by a person with Windows 2000 platform or later.

Needless to say you are able to only call or IM other folks who have downloaded the Google Talk software. Both parties must have a Gmail account to log onto the Google Talk messenger.

Those who don't already have a Gmail account may obtain an invitation via mobile-phone. https://www.google.com/accounts/SmsMailSignup1.. People that do not have a cell-phone will need to have some body having an account deliver a Gmail request. If people claim to get further about needs, there are thousands of online libraries people might think about pursuing.

Google has managed to get pretty convenient to include people to the contacts set of the messenger. Invitations are sent immediately from the messenger or from the user's Gmail account. There is no limit for the amount of users one can have on their contact number.

With that said, I made a decision to give Google Talk a spin myself. The UI is simple to use and understand, with Internet contacting, instant messaging, email, and needless to say, Google search. There are no ad's to litter the Interface, which is stimulating.

The user control's again are fairly cut and dry, it's a bit plain-looking, however; this for me add's to it is functionality. Other than a lack of ad's, the one thing new about this could be the fact it's from Google.

All in all, Google Talk is just a pretty good messenger. If you've a distaste for banner ad's or pop up's each and every time you begin your messenger, 'H' Talk should be a pleasant change of speed..
