In Google's new struggle towards becoming an international information middle, I have come to notice that the results provided from Google News appears like only the articles we publish every day. So I ask, does not it seem like Google News resembles a write-up index of some types?

* Google News World: http://news.google.com

* Google News Canada: http://news.google.ca

* Google News UK: http://news.google.co.uk

I only mention this because when posting my online marketing articles, I often wonder should they appear within Google News? 9 times out of 1-0, they do! Actually, they usually arrive within 48 hours to be indexed from other top related web sites.

How can Google News pick it's content?

At this time, it seems that 'information stores' & 'pr release organizations' linked to your industry o-nline are making the most of these research results. Once you consider it, wouldn't a press release be described as a type of information anyways? Possibly...

You'll notice that only a select few are giving every one of the results, if you have a good look at the sites who provide the content within Google media. Again, it's possible that Google's media algorithm remains in its infant stages and probably has a lot of uphill battles to overcome.

It could be in Google's best interest to put together a group of professionals in numerous areas to accept articles/news submissions so that you can keep the information source within the Google kingdom.

There's Merely A Portion of Effects Showing:

While searching through the GN section, you will also observe a relatively small percentage of actual search results coming up. Just a fraction of a proportion of results get shown within the GN search results in comparison to the same results within the normal search results available on Google's main page.

Only the sections on the left produce true real-time news. These are: Top Experiences|World|Organization|Sci/Tech|Sports|Entertainment|Health. These links provide real-time results delivered from legitimate information sources on line.

Google News Alerts - Ezine anyone?

When you consider it, you're giving your email to Google to get relevant articles to the search term sent to your email, how can this differ from every other standard publication? Are we going to begin seeing Google Adwords within the information alerts? Will they con-sider giving large the opportunity to companies to advertise of their e-mail alerts as an onetime mailing! I hope not.

More and more we're viewing less of the Google we once knew and have come to love (A research bar with some great results). Because Google's IPO, the development team at GG are starting to launch applications online that are starting to resemble what we now know because the good Yahoo Portal.

Will there be any difference? Probably not.
