In Google's new fight towards becoming an international media heart, I've come to observe that the outcome delivered from Google News appears like nothing more than the articles we publish every-day. So I ask, does not it look like Google News resembles an article listing of some forms?

* Google News World: http://news.google.com

* Google News Canada: http://news.google.ca

* Google News UK: http://news.google.co.uk

I only mention this because when submitting my internet marketing articles, I often wonder if they arrive within Google News? 9 times out of 10, they do! In fact, they often arrive within 4-8 hours to be indexed from other top related internet sites.

So how exactly does Google News select it's content?

At this time, it seems that 'information centers' & 'pr release companies' linked to your area online are cashing in on these search results. When you consider it, wouldn't a press release be a kind of information anyways? Possibly...

You'll observe that only a select few are giving most of the results, if you take a good look at the websites who produce the content within Google information. Again, it's possible that Google's media formula remains in its infant stages and probably includes a large amount of uphill battles to beat.

It may be in Google's best interest to gather a group of professionals in various areas to simply accept articles/news articles so that you can keep the news source within the Google kingdom.

There's Merely A Fraction of Benefits Showing:

While searching through the GN area, you'll also observe a somewhat small part of actual search engine results arising. Only a fraction of a percentage of results get listed within the GN search results in comparison to exactly the same results within the normal search results available on Google's main page.

Only the sections to the left offer true real-time news. These are: Top Reports|World|Organization|Sci/Tech|Sports|Activity|Health. These links provide results provided from credible information sources on line.

Google News Alerts - E-zine anyone?

When you consider it, you're giving Google your email address to get related articles to the key phrase brought to your inbox, how does this differ from any normal publication? Are we going to begin seeing Google Adwords within the information signals? Will they con-sider giving large the chance to firms to advertise inside their mail alerts as an onetime mailing! I hope not.

More and more we're viewing less of the Google we once knew and attended to love (A search club with some good benefits). Since Google's IPO, the devel-opment group at GG are starting to launch programs o-nline that are starting to resemble what we now know because the good Yahoo Portal.

Maybe there is any difference? Most likely not.

One Great Position About Google News:

They've given the ability to you to customize your page showing what-ever news subjects you want. Only look at the right side for a button that says 'Customize this page New'! .. When you click this link a drop-down box shows you most of the major topics you've listed inside your page. Just click on the subject you intend to customize or remove. The best part of everything is that you can click on 'Put in a custom section' and simply look for the subject you wish to have listed on your site.
