In Google's new battle towards becoming a global news heart, I've come to realize that the outcomes delivered from Google News seems like nothing more than the articles we publish daily. To learn more, consider looking at: http://markets.financialcontent.com/bpas/news/read/38627572. So I ask, does not it appear to be Google News resembles an article index of some sorts?

* Google News World: http://news.google.com

* Google News Canada: http://news.google.ca

* Google News UK: http://news.google.co.uk

I only mention this because when distributing my internet marketing articles, I often wonder when they appear within Google News? 9 times out of 10, they do! In-fact, they usually appear within 4-8 hours of being found from other top related websites.

How does Google News choose it's content?

At this time, it seems that 'information facilities' & 'pr release companies' associated with your industry online are making the most of these research results. If you consider it, would not a press release be considered a form of media anyways? Possibly...

If you have a good look at the sites who deliver the content within Google information, you will observe that only a select few are offering most of the results. Again, it's possible that Google's information algorithm is still in its infant stages and probably has a lot of uphill battles to defeat.

It might be in Google's best interest to gather a group of experts in different areas to just accept articles/news articles in order to keep the information source within the Google empire.

There is Just A Fraction of Results Showing:

You'll also notice a comparatively small percentage of actual search results coming up, while searching through the GN area. Only a fraction of the proportion of results get shown within the GN search results in comparison with exactly the same results within the regular search results found on Google's main site.

Only the parts to the left offer true real-time media. These are: Top Experiences|World|Organization|Sci/Tech|Activities|Entertainment|Health. These links provide results delivered from credible information sources o-nline.

Google News Alerts - Ezine anyone?

When you consider it, you're offering your current email address to Google to get related articles to the search term delivered to your email, how can this vary from any normal newsletter? Are we going to begin seeing Google Adwords within-the news alerts? May they con-sider giving large the ability to companies to market within their e-mail signals as an one time mailing! I really hope not.

More and more we are seeing less of the Google we once knew and attended to love (A research bar with some great benefits). Because Google's IPO, the devel-opment group at GG are starting to launch applications o-nline that are starting to resemble what we now know as the great Yahoo Portal.

Will there be any difference? Not likely.

One Great Level About Google News:

They've given the power to you to customize your site to exhibit what-ever media subjects you want. Just go through the right side for a button that says 'Customize this page New'! .. When you click on this link a drop-down box shows you most of the main issues you've outlined inside your site. Just click on the subject you wish to customize or remove. The best part of everything is the fact that you can click on 'Put in a custom section' and simply look for the topic you wish to have listed on your site.

All in all you are able to create a whole custom information page (writer articles) that connect with your market..
