In Google's current battle towards becoming a global media heart, I've come to realize that the outcome delivered from Google News seems like nothing more than the articles we publish every-day. So I ask, does not it look like Google News resembles an article directory of some sorts?

* Google News World: http://news.google.com

* Google News Canada: http://news.google.ca

* Google News UK: http://news.google.co.uk

I only mention this because when publishing my website marketing posts, I often wonder should they arrive within Google News? 9 times out of 1-0, they do! In fact, they generally appear within 4-8 hours to be listed from other top related internet sites.

How can Google News select it is content?

At this time, it appears that 'media facilities' & 'press release organizations' associated with your industry on the web are profiting from these search results. Once you contemplate it, would not a press release be described as a type of information anyways? Possibly...

If you take a good look at the websites who produce the content within Google news, you'll notice that only a select few are giving all the results. Again, it is possible that Google's information formula is still in its infant stages and probably includes a lot of constant battles to beat.

It could be in Google's best interest to put together a group of experts in different areas to accept articles/news submissions to be able to keep the information source within the Google kingdom. There is Only A Portion of Effects Showing:

While searching through the GN section, you will also discover a comparatively small percentage of actual search results arising. Just a portion of the proportion of results get stated within the GN search results in comparison to exactly the same results within the standard search results available on Google's main page.

Only the sections to the left provide actual real-time information. These are: Prime Reports|World|Business|Sci/Tech|Activities|Activity|Health. These links provide real-time results delivered from legitimate news sources online.

Google News Alerts - Ezine anyone?

When you think about it, you're giving your current email address to Google to get relevant articles to the search phrase brought to your inbox, how can this differ from any other normal newsletter? Are we going to start seeing Google Adwords within-the media signals? Will they con-sider giving large corporations the chance to advertise within their email signals as an one-time mailing! I am hoping not.

More and more we're seeing less of the Google we once knew and came to love (A research bar with some good effects). Since Google's IPO, the devel-opment group at GG are starting to launch applications on the web that are starting to resemble what we now know because the great Yahoo Portal.

Maybe there is any difference? Probably not.
