Google News - Yet another post announcer 20365

In Google's recent challenge towards becoming a global information heart, I have come to realize that the outcome sent from Google News may seem like nothing more than the articles we publish daily. So I ask, does not it seem like Google News resembles articles directory of some sorts?

I only mention this because when publishing my website marketing articles, I often wonder should they show up within Google News? 9 times out of 1-0, they do! In reality, they often appear within 4-8 hours to be listed from other top related sites.

How does Google News pick it's content?

Right now, it seems that 'news stores' & 'press release companies' related to your industry online are cashing in on these search results. If you consider it, would not a press release be considered a form of media anyways? Possibly...

You'll notice that only a select few are providing every one of the results, if you have a good look at the websites who deliver the information within Google media.
