In Google's new challenge towards becoming a global media center, I've come to realize that the outcome provided from Google News appears like nothing more than the articles we publish everyday. So I ask, doesn't it seem like Google News resembles an article listing of some forms?

* Google News World: http://news.google.com

* Google News Canada: http://news.google.ca

* Google News UK: http://news.google.co.uk

I only mention this because when submitting my website marketing posts, I often wonder when they show up within Google News? 9 times out of 10, they are doing! In-fact, they usually show up within 48 hours to be indexed from other top related sites.

How does Google News pick it's content?

At this time, it seems that 'media stores' & 'pr release companies' related to your field on line are cashing in on these research results. If you consider it, would not a press release be a form of media anyways? Possibly...

You will realize that only a select few are giving every one of the results, if you have a good look at the sites who produce the content within Google information. To research more, consider having a look at: Burnaby Counselling Centre Launches Google Map Listing. Again, it's possible that Google's information protocol is still in its infant stages and probably has a lot of uphill battles to beat.

It could be in Google's best interest to gather a team of experts in various areas to accept articles/news submissions to be able to keep the news source within the Google empire.

There's Only A Portion of Results Showing:

While searching through the GN part, you will also discover a somewhat small part of actual search results developing. Just a fraction of a percentage of results get listed within the GN search results in comparison to the same results within the regular search results available on Google's main page.

Only the parts on the left deliver true real-time media. These are: Top Stories|World|Organization|Sci/Tech|Activities|Entertainment|Health. These links provide results sent from credible news sources online.

Google News Alerts - Ezine anyone?

When you contemplate it, you're giving your current email address to Google to get related articles to the search term brought to your in-box, how does this differ from every other standard publication? Are we going to begin seeing Google Adwords within the information alerts? Will they consider giving large companies the opportunity to promote within their mail signals as an one time mailing! I am hoping not.

More and more we are seeing less of the Google we once knew and attended to love (A search bar with some good effects). Because Google's IPO, the development group at GG are starting to launch programs on the web that are starting to resemble what we now know because the good Yahoo Portal.

Will there be any difference? Probably not.
