Google News - Yet another post announcer 15990
In Google's recent battle towards becoming a global news center, I've come to notice that the outcome provided from Google News seems like nothing more than the articles we publish each and every day. So I ask, doesn't it seem like Google News resembles an article index of some sorts?

I only mention this because when posting my website marketing posts, I often wonder if they appear within Google News? 9 times out of 10, they are doing! In-fact, they generally appear within 48 hours of being found from other top related web sites.
So how exactly does Google News select it is content?
At the moment, it appears that 'media centers' & 'press release companies' linked to your area o-nline are making the most of these research results. If you think about it, would not a press release be described as a kind of media anyways? Possibly...
You will realize that only a select few are giving all the results, if you take a good look at the websites who deliver the material within Google news. Again, it is possible that Google's information algorithm remains in its infant stages and probably includes a lot of uphill battles to defeat.
It might be in Google's best interest to put together a team of professionals in various areas to just accept articles/news submissions in order to keep the news source within the Google empire.
There is Only A Portion of Effects Showing:
While searching through the GN section, you will also recognize a relatively small part of actual search engine results coming up. Only a portion of the percentage of results get outlined within the GN search results in comparison to the same results within the normal search results available on Google's main page. Google News Alerts - Ezine anybody?
When you consider it, you're giving your email to Google to get related articles to the key phrase brought to your mailbox, how can this differ from any regular newsletter? Are we going to begin seeing Google Adwords within the news signals? Will they consider giving large the ability to firms to market of their e-mail signals as an onetime mailing! I hope not.
More and more we're viewing less of the Google we once knew and came to love (A research bar with some great results).
