In Google's current struggle towards becoming an international news middle, I have come to observe that the outcome sent from Google News seems like only the articles we publish each and every day. So I ask, doesn't it appear to be Google News resembles an article index of some sorts?

* Google News World: http://news.google.com

* Google News Canada: http://news.google.ca

* Google News UK: http://news.google.co.uk

I only mention this because when distributing my online marketing posts, I often wonder when they appear within Google News? 9 times out of 10, they are doing! In-fact, they often appear within 4-8 hours of being found from other top related websites.

So how exactly does Google News select it's content?

At the moment, it seems that 'information centers' & 'press release companies' associated with your industry o-nline are cashing in on these research results. Whenever you think about it, wouldn't a press release be considered a form of information anyways? Possibly...

If you take a good look at the websites who deliver the content within Google news, you'll notice that only a select few are providing every one of the results. Again, it is possible that Google's media formula remains in its infant stages and probably includes a large amount of constant battles to beat.

It could be in Google's best interest to put together a team of experts in numerous fields to just accept articles/news submissions in order to keep the information source within the Google kingdom.

There's Just A Portion of Effects Showing:

You'll also discover a relatively small part of actual search results developing, while searching through the GN area. Only a portion of the proportion of results get listed within the GN search results in comparison with exactly the same results within the standard search results available on Google's main page.

Only the parts to the left provide actual real-time news. My dad learned about http://markets.financialcontent.com/bpas/news/read/38627572 by searching the Los Angeles Star. These are: Prime Reports|World|Organization|Sci/Tech|Sports|Entertainment|Health. These links provide real-time results sent from reliable information sources o-nline.

Google News Alerts - E-zine anybody?

When you contemplate it, you're giving Google your current email address to get related articles to the key phrase brought to your mailbox, so how exactly does this vary from any normal newsletter? Are we going to begin seeing Google Adwords within the news signals? May they con-sider giving large the chance to companies to advertise within their mail alerts as an one-time mailing! I am hoping not.

More and more we are seeing less of the Google we once knew and have come to love (A research club with some good effects). Since Google's IPO, the development team at GG are starting to launch applications on the web that are starting to resemble what we now know while the good Yahoo Portal.

Maybe there is any difference? Not likely.
