Google News - Yet another article announcer 23876
In Google's new fight towards becoming a global information center, I've come to realize that the outcome delivered from Google News seems like simply the articles we publish everyday. So I ask, doesn't it look like Google News resembles articles index of some types?

I only mention this because when posting my online marketing posts, I often wonder when they arrive within Google News? 9 times out of 10, they are doing! In-fact, they usually show up within 4-8 hours to be found from other top related web sites.
How does Google News select it is content?
At the moment, it appears that 'information facilities' & 'pr release companies' linked to your industry online are making the most of these research results. Once you consider it, would not a press release be described as a type of media anyways? Possibly...
If you have a good look at the sites who deliver the content within Google news, you'll observe that only a select few are giving every one of the results. Again, it is possible that Google's media formula remains in its infant stages and probably has a lot of constant battles to beat.
It might be in Google's best interest to gather a team of professionals in different areas to just accept articles/news articles in order to keep the news source within the Google empire.

Google News Alerts - E-zine anybody?
When you consider it, you are giving your email to Google to get related articles to the search term sent to your mailbox, how does this differ from every other standard publication? Are we going to begin seeing Google Adwords within-the media alerts? May they consider giving large organizations the ability to market within their email signals as an onetime mailing! I really hope not.
More and more we are seeing less of the Google we once knew and attended to love (A research club with some good effects). Since Google's IPO, the development group at GG are starting to launch programs on the web that are starting to resemble what we now know because the great Yahoo Portal.
Maybe there is any difference? Probably not.
