Google News - Yet another article announcer 12465
In Google's recent struggle towards becoming a global news heart, I've come to observe that the results delivered from Google News appears like only the articles we publish each and every day. So I ask, doesn't it look like Google News resembles an article directory of some types?

I only mention this because when publishing my website marketing posts, I often wonder should they appear within Google News? 9 times out of 10, they do! The truth is, they often show up within 4-8 hours of being found from other top related web sites. How does Google News pick it's content?
At this time, it would appear that 'media stores' & 'pr release organizations' related to your industry on line are profiting from these search results. If you consider it, wouldn't a press release be considered a kind of news anyways? Possibly...
If you take a good look at the sites who deliver the content within Google news, you'll notice that only a select few are providing every one of the results. Again, it is possible that Google's media protocol is still in its infant stages and probably has a large amount of constant battles to conquer.
It could be in Google's best interest to assemble a team of professionals in different fields to just accept articles/news submissions to be able to keep the news source within the Google kingdom.
There's Only A Portion of Effects Showing:
While searching through the GN part, you will also notice a relatively small percentage of actual search engine results coming up. Only a fraction of a percentage of results get outlined within the GN search results when compared with the same results within the regular search results found on Google's main site.
Only the sections to the left provide true real-time news. These are: Top Stories|World|Business|Sci/Tech|Sports|Entertainment|Health. These links provide results sent from reliable information sources on the web.
Google News Alerts - Ezine anybody?
When you consider it, you're offering Google your current email address to get relevant articles to the search phrase delivered to your mailbox, how can this change from every other standard publication? Are we going to begin seeing Google Adwords within the news signals? May they con-sider giving large the chance to corporations to advertise of their e-mail alerts as an one time mailing! I hope not.
More and more we're seeing less of the Google we once knew and came to love (A search club with some good results). Because Google's IPO, the devel-opment team at GG are starting to launch programs o-nline that are starting to resemble what we now know as the great Yahoo Portal.
Will there be any difference? Probably not.
