In Google's recent struggle towards becoming an international news center, I've come to observe that the outcome provided from Google News may seem like nothing more than the articles we publish everyday. So I ask, doesn't it appear to be Google News resembles a write-up service of some sorts?

I only mention this because when posting my website marketing posts, I often wonder when they appear within Google News? 9 times out of 1-0, they are doing! In-fact, they often appear within 4-8 hours to be indexed from other top related sites.

How can Google News select it's content?

At this time, it appears that 'news facilities' & 'pr release organizations' associated with your industry online are profiting from these research results. If you think about it, wouldn't a press release be described as a form of news anyways? Possibly...

If you take a good look at the websites who produce the information within Google information, you will observe that only a select few are providing all of the results. Again, it's possible that Google's media algorithm is still in its infant stages and probably includes a lot of uphill battles to overcome.

It could be in Google's best interest to assemble a team of professionals in different fields to just accept articles/news articles in order to keep the news source within the Google empire.

Google News Alerts - E-zine everyone?

When you contemplate it, you're giving your email address to Google to get related articles to the search term delivered to your email, how can this vary from any regular publication? Are we going to start seeing Google Adwords within the media alerts? May they con-sider giving large the opportunity to companies to advertise of their email alerts as an one-time mailing! I really hope not.

More and more we're viewing less of the Google we once knew and attended to love (A search club with some great results). Since Google's IPO, the devel-opment group at GG are starting to launch programs online that are starting to resemble what we now know while the good Yahoo Portal.

Will there be any difference? Not likely.
