In Google's new challenge towards becoming a global information center, I've come to notice that the results delivered from Google News may seem like simply the articles we publish daily. So I ask, doesn't it look like Google News resembles a write-up index of some kinds?

I only mention this because when publishing my website marketing posts, I often wonder should they arrive within Google News? 9 times out of 1-0, they are doing! The truth is, they usually show up within 48 hours to be listed from other top related websites.
How can Google News select it's content?
At the moment, it would appear that 'news stores' & 'pr release organizations' associated with your industry online are making the most of these search results. When you contemplate it, wouldn't a press release be a form of media anyways? Possibly...
