In Google's new battle towards becoming a worldwide information center, I've come to observe that the outcome delivered from Google News seems like only the articles we publish every-day. So I ask, doesn't it seem like Google News resembles a write-up directory of some forms?

* Google News World: http://news.google.com

* Google News Canada: http://news.google.ca

* Google News UK: http://news.google.co.uk

I only mention this because when submitting my internet marketing articles, I often wonder if they arrive within Google News? 9 times out of 1-0, they do! Actually, they generally arrive within 48 hours to be found from other top related internet sites.

How can Google News select it is content?

At this time, it seems that 'news centers' & 'pr release companies' linked to your industry online are making the most of these search results. If you think about it, wouldn't a press release be considered a type of media anyways? Possibly...

If you have a good look at the websites who produce the material within Google news, you'll observe that only a select few are providing all the results. Again, it's possible that Google's news algorithm remains in its infant stages and probably includes a large amount of uphill battles to defeat. There's Only A Fraction of Results Showing:

While searching through the GN section, you will also observe a relatively small part of actual search engine results developing. Only a portion of the percentage of results get listed within the GN search results in comparison to exactly the same results within the regular search results found on Google's main page.

Only the parts on the left produce actual real-time news. These are: Top Stories|World|Business|Sci/Tech|Activities|Activity|Health. These links provide real-time results delivered from credible information sources online.

Google News Alerts - E-zine anybody?

When you contemplate it, you're offering your email to Google to get relevant articles to the search term brought to your inbox, how does this differ from every other regular publication? Are we going to start seeing Google Adwords within-the news alerts? May they consider giving large the chance to companies to advertise inside their e-mail alerts as an onetime mailing! I am hoping not.

More and more we are viewing less of the Google we once knew and came to love (A search bar with some great effects). Since Google's IPO, the develop-ment team at GG are starting to launch applications on line that are starting to resemble what we now know while the good Yahoo Portal.

Maybe there is any difference? Most likely not.
