Google News - Just another report announcer 39510
In Google's new fight towards becoming an international media middle, I have come to realize that the outcomes sent from Google News appears like nothing more than the articles we publish everyday. So I ask, doesn't it look like Google News resembles an article index of some sorts?

I only mention this because when publishing my internet marketing articles, I often wonder if they show up within Google News? 9 times out of 1-0, they do! Actually, they often appear within 4-8 hours of being listed from other top related sites.
How can Google News select it's content?
At this time, it would appear that 'information facilities' & 'pr release companies' associated with your industry o-nline are making the most of these search results. If you think about it, would not a press release be considered a kind of news anyways? Possibly...
You'll notice that only a select few are giving all of the results, if you take a good look at the sites who deliver the material within Google media. Again, it is possible that Google's news algorithm remains in its infant stages and probably includes a large amount of uphill battles to beat.
It might be in Google's best interest to put together a group of experts in numerous fields to just accept articles/news articles in order to keep the information source within the Google empire.

When you think about it, you're giving your email address to Google to get related articles to the search phrase delivered to your email, how does this vary from every other standard publication? Are we going to begin seeing Google Adwords within the news alerts? Will they con-sider giving large the chance to companies to advertise inside their mail alerts as an onetime mailing! I hope not.
More and more we are viewing less of the Google we once knew and have come to love (A research bar with some great results). Since Google's IPO, the develop-ment group at GG are starting to launch programs on the web that are starting to resemble what we now know as the good Yahoo Portal.
Maybe there is any difference? Not likely.
