In Google's recent battle towards becoming a global media center, I've come to notice that the outcome sent from Google News may seem like simply the articles we publish everyday. So I ask, doesn't it seem like Google News resembles a write-up index of some forms?

* Google News World: http://news.google.com

* Google News Canada: http://news.google.ca

* Google News UK: http://news.google.co.uk

I only mention this because when submitting my online marketing articles, I often wonder if they show up within Google News? 9 times out of 1-0, they do! In-fact, they usually arrive within 4-8 hours to be indexed from other top related sites.

How can Google News choose it's content?

Right now, it seems that 'news facilities' & 'pr release companies' related to your area on the web are making the most of these search results. This unique North Vancouver Counselling Centre Launches Google My Business Listing URL has some interesting warnings for the purpose of it. If you think about it, wouldn't a press release be described as a kind of news anyways? Possibly...

If you have a good look at the websites who provide the information within Google media, you will realize that only a select few are offering most of the results. Again, it is possible that Google's news algorithm is still in its infant stages and probably has a large amount of uphill battles to overcome.

It may be in Google's best interest to put together a group of experts in different fields to simply accept articles/news articles to be able to keep the news source within the Google kingdom.

There's Merely A Fraction of Benefits Showing:

While searching through the GN part, you will also observe a relatively small part of actual search engine results coming up. Only a fraction of the proportion of results get listed within the GN search results in comparison to exactly the same results within the regular search results available on Google's main page.

Only the sections to the left provide actual real-time media. These are: Top Reports|World|Organization|Sci/Tech|Activities|Entertainment|Health. Google News Alerts - Ezine anybody?

When you consider it, you're giving Google your current email address to get relevant articles to the key phrase delivered to your in-box, so how exactly does this vary from every other normal publication? Are we going to start seeing Google Adwords within the media signals? Will they con-sider giving large the chance to companies to promote of their e-mail signals as an one-time mailing! I really hope not.

More and more we're viewing less of the Google we once knew and attended to love (A search club with some great effects). Since Google's IPO, the devel-opment group at GG are starting to launch programs online that are starting to resemble what we now know as the great Yahoo Portal.

Will there be any difference? Not likely.

One Good Point About Google News:

They've given the power to you to customize your site to show whatever information topics you want. Just go through the right side for a button that says 'Customize this page New'! .. When you click on this link a drop-down box shows you all the main issues you have outlined inside your page. Simply click on the subject you wish to modify or eliminate. The top part of all of it is the fact that you can click on 'Add a custom part' and only look for the topic you need shown on your page.

All in all it is possible to create an entire custom news page (author articles) that connect with your industry..
