In Google's new struggle towards becoming an international news heart, I have come to realize that the outcome provided from Google News seems like nothing more than the articles we publish every day. So I ask, doesn't it look like Google News resembles articles directory of some types?

I only mention this because when publishing my website marketing articles, I often wonder if they appear within Google News? 9 times out of 10, they are doing! In reality, they generally show up within 4-8 hours to be found from other top related sites.
How can Google News choose it is content?
Right now, it seems that 'media facilities' & 'press release companies' associated with your field online are profiting from these research results. Whenever you think about it, wouldn't a press release be a type of information anyways? Possibly...
If you take a good look at the websites who produce the content within Google information, you'll observe that only a select few are giving all the results. Again, it's possible that Google's information algorithm remains in its infant stages and probably has a lot of constant battles to overcome.
It could be in Google's best interest to gather a staff of professionals in numerous areas to accept articles/news articles in order to keep the information source within the Google empire.
