Google News - Just another report announcer 21011
In Google's current battle towards becoming a worldwide news center, I've come to observe that the results sent from Google News appears like simply the articles we publish daily. So I ask, does not it seem like Google News resembles an article listing of some kinds?

I only mention this because when publishing my online marketing articles, I often wonder if they appear within Google News? 9 times out of 1-0, they are doing! In-fact, they generally arrive within 48 hours to be listed from other top related internet sites.
How does Google News select it's content?
At the moment, it seems that 'news stores' & 'press release companies' linked to your field on the web are making the most of these search results. If you contemplate it, would not a press release be a form of news anyways? Possibly...
If you have a good look at the sites who deliver the content within Google news, you'll notice that only a select few are giving all of the results. Again, it's possible that Google's media protocol remains in its infant stages and probably includes a lot of constant battles to overcome.
It may be in Google's best interest to put together a group of experts in numerous fields to just accept articles/news submissions to be able to keep the information source within the Google empire.

Google News Alerts - E-zine anybody?
When you think about it, you are offering Google your email address to get relevant articles to the search term brought to your mailbox, how can this change from every other regular newsletter? Are we going to start seeing Google Adwords within the news alerts? May they consider giving large firms the ability to market within their e-mail signals as an onetime mailing! I really hope not.
More and more we're viewing less of the Google we once knew and have come to love (A research bar with some good effects). Because Google's IPO, the develop-ment group at GG are starting to launch applications online that are starting to resemble what we now know because the good Yahoo Portal.
Will there be any difference? Probably not.
