In Google's current struggle towards becoming an international information middle, I've come to observe that the results sent from Google News may seem like nothing more than the articles we publish every-day. So I ask, doesn't it look like Google News resembles a write-up service of some kinds?

* Google News World: http://news.google.com

* Google News Canada: http://news.google.ca

* Google News UK: http://news.google.co.uk

I only mention this because when distributing my internet marketing posts, I often wonder if they show up within Google News? 9 times out of 10, they do! The truth is, they generally appear within 48 hours of being indexed from other top related web sites.

How does Google News select it is content?

At this time, it appears that 'information stores' & 'pr release organizations' related to your industry o-nline are making the most of these search results. Once you think about it, wouldn't a press release be described as a kind of information anyways? Possibly... You'll observe that only a select few are giving all of the results, if you take a good look at the websites who provide the content within Google information. Again, it is possible that Google's media protocol is still in its infant stages and probably has a lot of constant battles to beat.

It might be in Google's best interest to put together a staff of professionals in different areas to accept articles/news submissions so that you can keep the information source within the Google empire.

There's Only A Fraction of Benefits Showing:

While searching through the GN part, you will also notice a relatively small portion of actual search results arising. Just a portion of a proportion of results get listed within the GN search results when compared with exactly the same results within the normal search results found on Google's main site.

Only the parts on the left produce actual real-time media. These are: Prime Stories|World|Business|Sci/Tech|Sports|Activity|Health. These links provide effects provided from credible information sources o-nline.

Google News Alerts - E-zine anyone?

When you contemplate it, you're offering your email to Google to get related articles to the search term brought to your email, how does this change from any standard newsletter? Are we going to start seeing Google Adwords within the news signals? Will they con-sider giving large organizations the opportunity to market inside their email signals as an onetime mailing! I hope not.

More and more we are seeing less of the Google we once knew and attended to love (A search club with some great results). Since Google's IPO, the devel-opment team at GG are starting to launch programs on line that are starting to resemble what we now know as the good Yahoo Portal.

Maybe there is any difference? Most likely not.

One Good Position About Google News:

They've given the power to you to customize your site to show what-ever information subjects you want. Just go through the right side for a button that says 'Customize this page New'! .. When you click on this link a drop down box shows you all the major topics you've shown within your site. Simply click o-n the subject you want to customize or eliminate. The most effective part of everything is the fact that you can click on 'Put in a custom part' and only look for this issue you wish to have shown on your site.

All in all you are able to create an entire custom news page (author articles) that relate to your business..
