In Google's current challenge towards becoming a global information middle, I've come to realize that the outcomes provided from Google News seems like simply the articles we publish every day. So I ask, does not it seem like Google News resembles an article index of some kinds?

I only mention this because when publishing my online marketing posts, I often wonder should they appear within Google News? 9 times out of 10, they are doing! In fact, they often appear within 48 hours of being indexed from other top related internet sites.
How does Google News select it's content?
At the moment, it appears that 'news facilities' & 'press release companies' associated with your industry online are profiting from these search results. Whenever you think about it, would not a press release be described as a form of media anyways? Possibly...
If you take a good look at the sites who provide the material within Google media, you will notice that only a select few are giving all of the results. Again, it is possible that Google's news algorithm is still in its infant stages and probably has a large amount of uphill battles to overcome.
It might be in Google's best interest to put together a staff of professionals in numerous areas to just accept articles/news articles so that you can keep the information source within the Google empire.

You will also recognize a somewhat small portion of actual search engine results coming up, while searching through the GN part. Just a fraction of a proportion of results get outlined within the GN search results when compared with exactly the same results within the normal search results found on Google's main page.

Google News Alerts - E-zine everyone?
When you consider it, you are giving your email to Google to get related articles to the search phrase sent to your in-box, how does this change from any normal newsletter? Are we going to begin seeing Google Adwords within the media signals? May they consider giving large the opportunity to organizations to promote inside their mail signals as an one-time mailing! I am hoping not.
More and more we are viewing less of the Google we once knew and attended to love (A research bar with some great results). Because Google's IPO, the devel-opment group at GG are starting to launch applications o-nline that are starting to resemble what we now know as the great Yahoo Portal.
Will there be any difference? Most likely not.
