In Google's new challenge towards becoming a worldwide media center, I've come to observe that the outcome sent from Google News appears like simply the articles we publish every day. So I ask, does not it seem like Google News resembles an article listing of some sorts?

* Google News World: http://news.google.com

* Google News Canada: http://news.google.ca

* Google News UK: http://news.google.co.uk

I only mention this because when distributing my website marketing articles, I often wonder if they arrive within Google News? 9 times out of 10, they are doing! In reality, they usually appear within 4-8 hours of being indexed from other top related internet sites.

How can Google News choose it's content?

At this time, it seems that 'media centers' & 'pr release companies' linked to your area on the web are profiting from these search results. Once you consider it, would not a press release be a form of media anyways? Possibly... Browse here at the link Burnaby Counselling Centre Launches Google Map Listing to read the reason for it.

You'll realize that only a select few are giving all the results, if you take a good look at the websites who provide the material within Google news. Again, it's possible that Google's media algorithm remains in its infant stages and probably includes a large amount of constant battles to defeat.

It may be in Google's best interest to gather a group of experts in numerous fields to just accept articles/news articles so that you can keep the information source within the Google empire.

There is Only A Fraction of Effects Showing:

You'll also observe a relatively small percentage of actual search results developing, while searching through the GN part. Just a fraction of the proportion of results get shown within the GN search results in comparison with the same results within the normal search results found on Google's main page.

Only the sections on the left deliver true real-time news. These are: Leading Stories|World|Organization|Sci/Tech|Sports|Entertainment|Health. These links provide real-time results sent from reliable news sources on the web.

Google News Alerts - E-zine anyone?

When you consider it, you are giving Google your current email address to get related articles to the key phrase delivered to your email, how does this vary from every other normal newsletter? Are we going to start seeing Google Adwords within-the news alerts? Will they con-sider giving large the chance to companies to market inside their e-mail signals as an onetime mailing! I am hoping not.

More and more we are viewing less of the Google we once knew and attended to love (A research club with some great effects). Since Google's IPO, the development group at GG are starting to launch programs on the web that are starting to resemble what we now know as the good Yahoo Portal.

Will there be any difference? Probably not.

One Good Level About Google News:

They have given you the ability to customize your page showing what-ever media subjects you want. Simply consider the right side for a button that says 'Customize this site New'! .. When you click this link a drop-down box shows you all the major issues you have shown inside your page. Just click o-n the topic you intend to customize or eliminate. The top part of it all is that you can click on 'Add a custom part' and simply search for the subject you want listed on your page.

In general it is possible to create an entire custom news site (author articles) that connect with your industry..
