In Google's new battle towards becoming a worldwide media center, I've come to realize that the results delivered from Google News seems like nothing more than the articles we publish everyday. So I ask, doesn't it look like Google News resembles an article index of some kinds?

* Google News World: http://news.google.com

* Google News Canada: http://news.google.ca

* Google News UK: http://news.google.co.uk

I only mention this because when submitting my online marketing articles, I often wonder should they show up within Google News? 9 times out of 1-0, they do! In-fact, they generally appear within 48 hours of being listed from other top related web sites.

How can Google News pick it's content?

Right now, it appears that 'information facilities' & 'pr release organizations' related to your industry on line are cashing in on these search results. Once you think about it, would not a press release be described as a type of news anyways? Possibly... I found out about Burnaby Counselling Centre Launches Google Map Listing by browsing newspapers. If you have a good look at the sites who provide the material within Google media, you'll notice that only a select few are offering all of the results. Again, it's possible that Google's information protocol is still in its infant stages and probably includes a lot of uphill battles to defeat.

It could be in Google's best interest to assemble a team of experts in different areas to just accept articles/news articles so that you can keep the news source within the Google kingdom.

There is Just A Fraction of Results Showing:

While searching through the GN part, you will also recognize a comparatively small percentage of actual search engine results arising. Just a fraction of a percentage of results get stated within the GN search results when compared with exactly the same results within the regular search results available on Google's main page.

Only the parts on the left offer true real-time media. These are: Leading Reports|World|Business|Sci/Tech|Activities|Activity|Health. These links provide effects shipped from legitimate information sources on line.

Google News Alerts - Ezine anyone?

When you think about it, you're giving your email to Google to get related articles to the key phrase brought to your email, so how exactly does this differ from every other regular newsletter? Are we going to start seeing Google Adwords within-the news alerts? May they consider giving large the ability to corporations to advertise within their e-mail alerts as an onetime mailing! I hope not.

More and more we're viewing less of the Google we once knew and came to love (A research bar with some good results). Since Google's IPO, the devel-opment group at GG are starting to launch applications on line that are starting to resemble what we now know as the great Yahoo Portal.

Maybe there is any difference? Not likely.

One Good Point About Google News:

They've given the ability to you to customize your page showing whatever information topics you want. Only look at the right side for a button that says 'Customize this site New'! .. After you click this link a drop-down box shows you most of the major topics you've stated in your page. Simply click on the topic you wish to modify or eliminate. The most effective part of everything is the fact that you can click on 'Put in a custom part' and only search for the topic you need shown on your site.

In general you are able to create a complete custom information site (author articles) that connect with your market..
