In Google's new challenge towards becoming a global information center, I've come to notice that the results sent from Google News seems like only the articles we publish daily. So I ask, does not it seem like Google News resembles an article directory of some kinds?

I only mention this because when distributing my website marketing posts, I often wonder when they arrive within Google News? 9 times out of 1-0, they do! In-fact, they generally appear within 48 hours of being found from other top related websites.
How can Google News select it's content?
At the moment, it would appear that 'media stores' & 'pr release companies' associated with your field online are making the most of these search results. If you think about it, would not a press release be considered a form of media anyways? Possibly...
