In Google's current fight towards becoming a global news middle, I have come to notice that the results provided from Google News seems like simply the articles we publish every day. So I ask, doesn't it seem like Google News resembles an article service of some sorts?

* Google News World: http://news.google.com

* Google News Canada: http://news.google.ca

* Google News UK: http://news.google.co.uk

I only mention this because when publishing my website marketing articles, I often wonder should they appear within Google News? 9 times out of 1-0, they do! In fact, they often show up within 4-8 hours of being found from other top related sites.

How does Google News select it is content?

At the moment, it would appear that 'media stores' & 'pr release companies' linked to your area online are profiting from these search results. Whenever you think about it, would not a press release be considered a kind of information anyways? Possibly...

If you take a good look at the sites who provide the information within Google news, you'll notice that only a select few are offering most of the results. Again, it's possible that Google's news formula is still in its infant stages and probably includes a large amount of uphill battles to conquer.

It could be in Google's best interest to put together a staff of professionals in numerous areas to simply accept articles/news articles in order to keep the information source within the Google kingdom.

There is Only A Fraction of Benefits Showing:

While searching through the GN section, you'll also observe a comparatively small portion of actual search results developing. Just a portion of a proportion of results get stated within the GN search results in comparison to the same results within the regular search results available on Google's main site.

Only the parts on the left provide actual real-time media. These are: Leading Stories|World|Business|Sci/Tech|Sports|Entertainment|Health. These links provide effects provided from reliable news sources on the web. To compare more, people might require to take a gander at: http://markets.financialcontent.com/bpas/news/read/38627572.

Google News Alerts - E-zine everyone?

When you think about it, you're giving Google your email to get related articles to the search term sent to your mailbox, so how exactly does this differ from any other standard publication? Are we going to start seeing Google Adwords within-the information signals? May they consider giving large organizations the ability to market of their mail alerts as an one-time mailing! I hope not.

More and more we're viewing less of the Google we once knew and attended to love (A research bar with some good results). Since Google's IPO, the devel-opment team at GG are starting to launch applications on the web that are starting to resemble what we now know as the great Yahoo Portal.

Maybe there is any difference? Not likely.

One Great Point About Google News:

They have given you the ability to customize your page to show whatever news subjects you need. Just consider the right side for a button that says 'Customize this page New'! .. When you click on this link a drop down box shows you most of the main topics you have shown in your site. Just click on the subject you intend to modify or eliminate.
