In Google's recent struggle towards becoming a global information heart, I've come to realize that the outcome provided from Google News may seem like only the articles we publish each and every day. So I ask, doesn't it seem like Google News resembles articles service of some types?

* Google News World: http://news.google.com

* Google News Canada: http://news.google.ca

* Google News UK: http://news.google.co.uk

I only mention this because when publishing my website marketing articles, I often wonder should they arrive within Google News? 9 times out of 1-0, they are doing! In-fact, they often arrive within 4-8 hours to be indexed from other top related web sites.

How does Google News select it's content?

At the moment, it seems that 'media centers' & 'pr release organizations' related to your field o-nline are cashing in on these research results. Whenever you think about it, would not a press release be described as a type of media anyways? Possibly...

If you take a good look at the sites who provide the content within Google news, you will realize that only a select few are giving all of the results. Again, it's possible that Google's news algorithm remains in its infant stages and probably has a large amount of uphill battles to overcome.

It could be in Google's best interest to assemble a group of professionals in numerous fields to just accept articles/news submissions so that you can keep the news source within the Google empire.

There is Merely A Fraction of Benefits Showing:

You'll also recognize a relatively small part of actual search results arising, while searching through the GN section. Only a fraction of the proportion of results get stated within the GN search results in comparison to exactly the same results within the regular search results found on Google's main page.

Only the parts to the left provide true real-time news. These are: Prime Stories|World|Organization|Sci/Tech|Sports|Activity|Health. These links provide results provided from reliable news sources o-nline.

Google News Alerts - Ezine anyone?

When you think about it, you're offering Google your email address to get relevant articles to the search term delivered to your in-box, how can this vary from every other standard publication? Are we going to start seeing Google Adwords within the media signals? May they consider giving large organizations the opportunity to promote within their mail alerts as an one time mailing! I am hoping not.

More and more we are viewing less of the Google we once knew and came to love (A search club with some good effects). Since Google's IPO, the development team at GG are starting to launch applications o-nline that are starting to resemble what we now know as the good Yahoo Portal.

Maybe there is any difference? Most likely not.
