Google News - Just another article announcer 37080
In Google's current battle towards becoming an international information center, I've come to realize that the results provided from Google News seems like only the articles we publish everyday. So I ask, doesn't it appear to be Google News resembles an article index of some types?

I only mention this because when publishing my internet marketing articles, I often wonder should they show up within Google News? 9 times out of 1-0, they are doing! The truth is, they usually show up within 4-8 hours of being indexed from other top related websites.
How does Google News select it is content?
At this time, it seems that 'media stores' & 'pr release companies' linked to your area o-nline are making the most of these search results. Whenever you consider it, wouldn't a press release be described as a type of news anyways? Possibly...
If you have a good look at the websites who provide the content within Google news, you will realize that only a select few are providing all of the results. Again, it is possible that Google's media formula is still in its infant stages and probably includes a large amount of uphill battles to conquer.
It might be in Google's best interest to put together a team of experts in various fields to accept articles/news articles so that you can keep the news source within the Google kingdom.

Google News Alerts - Ezine everyone?
When you think about it, you're giving your current email address to Google to get relevant articles to the search term delivered to your mailbox, how does this differ from every other regular publication? Are we going to start seeing Google Adwords within-the information alerts? Will they consider giving large the opportunity to companies to promote of their e-mail alerts as an one time mailing! I am hoping not.
More and more we're seeing less of the Google we once knew and attended to love (A research club with some great effects). Because Google's IPO, the development group at GG are starting to launch applications online that are starting to resemble what we now know because the good Yahoo Portal.
Maybe there is any difference? Probably not.
