In Google's recent struggle towards becoming a global media heart, I have come to realize that the outcome provided from Google News may seem like only the articles we publish every-day. So I ask, doesn't it seem like Google News resembles an article directory of some kinds?

I only mention this because when publishing my online marketing articles, I often wonder should they show up within Google News? 9 times out of 1-0, they do! The truth is, they usually arrive within 4-8 hours of being listed from other top related sites.

So how exactly does Google News pick it's content?

Right now, it appears that 'media stores' & 'press release companies' linked to your field on the web are cashing in on these search results. If you contemplate it, would not a press release be described as a type of news anyways? Possibly...

If you take a good look at the sites who produce the material within Google media, you will observe that only a select few are giving all the results. Again, it is possible that Google's news formula is still in its infant stages and probably has a lot of uphill battles to beat.
