In Google's recent battle towards becoming an international media heart, I've come to observe that the outcome sent from Google News seems like only the articles we publish every day. So I ask, does not it seem like Google News resembles an article index of some sorts?

I only mention this because when publishing my website marketing posts, I often wonder should they arrive within Google News? 9 times out of 10, they are doing! In-fact, they generally show up within 48 hours to be found from other top related web sites.

How can Google News choose it's content?

Right now, it appears that 'information facilities' & 'pr release companies' associated with your industry on line are profiting from these search results. Whenever you contemplate it, wouldn't a press release be a type of information anyways? Possibly...

You will notice that only a select few are offering most of the results, if you have a good look at the websites who deliver the information within Google news. Again, it is possible that Google's media formula is still in its infant stages and probably has a lot of constant battles to overcome.

It could be in Google's best interest to assemble a group of experts in numerous fields to simply accept articles/news submissions to be able to keep the news source within the Google kingdom.

While searching through the GN part, you will also observe a comparatively small portion of actual search results coming up. Google News Alerts - Ezine anybody?

When you think about it, you are offering Google your email to get relevant articles to the key phrase sent to your mailbox, how does this differ from every other standard newsletter? Are we going to begin seeing Google Adwords within the information alerts? May they consider giving large the chance to corporations to promote inside their email alerts as an onetime mailing! I am hoping not.

More and more we're seeing less of the Google we once knew and have come to love (A research bar with some good results). Because Google's IPO, the develop-ment team at GG are starting to launch applications on the web that are starting to resemble what we now know because the great Yahoo Portal.

Maybe there is any difference? Not likely.
