In Google's new battle towards becoming a global news center, I've come to notice that the outcome provided from Google News seems like simply the articles we publish every day. So I ask, does not it look like Google News resembles articles service of some kinds?

* Google News World: http://news.google.com

* Google News Canada: http://news.google.ca

* Google News UK: http://news.google.co.uk

I only mention this because when submitting my internet marketing articles, I often wonder when they show up within Google News? 9 times out of 1-0, they are doing! Actually, they often arrive within 4-8 hours of being found from other top related internet sites.

How does Google News choose it's content?

At this time, it would appear that 'news centers' & 'pr release companies' linked to your industry online are profiting from these research results. When you contemplate it, would not a press release be considered a form of media anyways? Possibly...

If you take a good look at the websites who produce the material within Google information, you will observe that only a select few are providing all the results. Again, it is possible that Google's news protocol is still in its infant stages and probably has a large amount of uphill battles to beat.

It may be in Google's best interest to gather a group of experts in numerous areas to simply accept articles/news submissions so that you can keep the news source within the Google empire.

There is Just A Portion of Results Showing:

While searching through the GN area, you will also observe a somewhat small part of actual search results coming up. Just a fraction of the percentage of results get shown within the GN search results when compared with exactly the same results within the normal search results available on Google's main site.

Only the sections on the left offer true real-time information. These are: Top Stories|World|Organization|Sci/Tech|Sports|Activity|Health. These links provide results provided from legitimate information sources o-nline.

Google News Alerts - E-zine everyone?

When you think about it, you are offering your current email address to Google to get related articles to the search term brought to your in-box, how can this differ from any other standard publication? Are we going to start seeing Google Adwords within the news signals? Will they consider giving large the opportunity to firms to market inside their mail alerts as an one time mailing! I am hoping not.

More and more we're seeing less of the Google we once knew and came to love (A search bar with some good benefits). Because Google's IPO, the development group at GG are starting to launch applications on line that are starting to resemble what we now know as the good Yahoo Portal.

Will there be any difference? Most likely not.
