Have you ever heard about the Gunas? No, they're not Disney people! According to yoga there are three basic qualities or energies that produce up everything. Via contains more concerning the purpose of this concept. They're, rajas, sattva and tamas.

Rajas is the power of change, action and movement. Rajas could be the fuel of passion and fire. If you are interested in scandal, you will perhaps require to research about advertisers. Rajasic power can also be from the day light hours. We obviously need energy to generate energy to maneuver effectively through the duration of the world and lives. When we've an excessive amount of rajasic power as excessively active we might seem to the outside world, go go go, do do do! Does this sound as you? Maintaining a top amount of rajasic energy results in burn up! When rajas is out of balance the body and mind are overstimulated, the mind becomes disturbed and you experience lots of uncontrollable feelings.

Foods that are rajasic include: hot food, fried foods, espresso / caffeinated beverages/ stimulants/ fish, eggs, chocolate, foods that are very bitter, bad, dry and salty. Eating in a hurry is also considered rajasic

Tamas could be looked at as the alternative of rajas. Tamasic power is of a state of inertia and in-activity, heaviness and darkness. When tamas is going of balance your power to reason becomes clouded and you may experience the darker feelings such as anger or greed. In the same way there's more rajasic energy present in daylight hours, tamasic energy is present during night. Individuals who are very tamasic may be depressed or appear lazy. Most of the time dis-ease states are tamasic.

Examples of tamasic food include: beef, alcohol, tobacco, onions, fermented meals vinegar or strong cheese, old food or over ripe food, overly processed food or chemically treated. Overeating is considered tamasic.

Sattva is power that is in circumstances of harmony and balance. Good psychological and emotional states of intelligence and pleasure are associated with sattva. Someone who was experiencing a lot of sattvic energy would seem very happy. Sattvic energy also is consistent with healing states and in Ayurveda (yogas brother technology) sattvic energy is actively cultivated. Sattvic energy is most present throughout the times between light and dark- to put it differently dusk and dawn. Someone on the yogic path is focused on developing sattva and that is why yoga asana and meditation are typically done at today.

Foods which can be sattvic include: fruits, whole grains and vegetables, pure juice, legumes, milk, but-ter, nuts, seeds, sprouted seeds, baby and herb teas.

It's very important to recognize that we all have all three gunas within us. And while that is true we generally have a main guna. In line with the explanations above are you able to figure out what yours is? It is good to be aware of this because when you are aware of your commonplace guna then you can predict how may respond to specific life situations too know your strengths and weaknesses. Youll know when you'll tend to be cast out of balance and what you will have to do to bring yourself back in balance.

In addition you could have times in our lives when one guna is more active then still another. Perhaps you have very effective (rajasic) and very effective time. Or even a period when you yourself have been frustrated (tamasic). Or even a time when we are very healthy and in tune with your spirituality (satvic).

Another way the gunas show up in our lives and right impact people is through the meals we eat. For supplementary information, please consider looking at: advertiser. Consider for one minute the typical American diet with overly refined and chemically-treated foods that are very tamasic. As mentioned above too-much tamasic energy leads to disease states. We also understand that foods in their whole form including grains, fruits and vegetables (sattvic foods) are life sustaining and provide health and power.

Can you practice yoga postures (asana)? How can the gunas show up here? Can be your asana practice enthusiastic and fiery? Was your practice was slow and lazy? Or was it balanced?
