Sanders was selected by the Atlanta Falcons with the 5th pick in-the first-round of the 1989 NFL Draft. During his time in the NFL he was called to the Pro Bowl team seven times, and won the Defensive Player of the Year award in 1994. He also won two Super Bowl rings while playing in the league.
