In Google's current battle towards becoming a global media middle, I've come to observe that the outcome sent from Google News may seem like simply the articles we publish daily. So I ask, does not it appear to be Google News resembles an article index of some sorts?

* Google News World: http://news.google.com

* Google News Canada: http://news.google.ca

* Google News UK: http://news.google.co.uk

I only mention this because when distributing my internet marketing articles, I often wonder if they appear within Google News? 9 times out of 1-0, they are doing! Actually, they generally show up within 4-8 hours of being found from other top related internet sites.

How does Google News pick it is content?

Right now, it would appear that 'information stores' & 'press release organizations' linked to your industry on the web are profiting from these search results. Dig up new resources on our partner site by visiting Burnaby Counselling Centre Launches Google Map Listing. Whenever you consider it, would not a press release be a form of information anyways? Possibly...

If you have a good look at the websites who produce the information within Google media, you will realize that only a select few are giving most of the results. Again, it's possible that Google's news protocol is still in its infant stages and probably includes a large amount of constant battles to beat.

It may be in Google's best interest to put together a group of professionals in different fields to simply accept articles/news articles to be able to keep the information source within the Google kingdom.

There's Only A Fraction of Effects Showing:

While searching through the GN part, you'll also notice a somewhat small portion of actual search results developing. Only a fraction of the percentage of results get listed within the GN search results in comparison with the same results within the normal search results found on Google's main site.

Only the parts on the left provide true real-time media. These are: Prime Reports|World|Business|Sci/Tech|Activities|Entertainment|Health. These links provide real-time results provided from credible information sources on line.

Google News Alerts - Ezine anyone?

When you consider it, you're giving your current email address to Google to get related articles to the search phrase delivered to your mailbox, so how exactly does this vary from any other regular publication? Are we going to begin seeing Google Adwords within the news signals? May they consider giving large the ability to firms to market inside their mail alerts as an one-time mailing! I really hope not.

More and more we are viewing less of the Google we once knew and came to love (A research bar with some good results). Since Google's IPO, the development team at GG are starting to launch applications o-nline that are starting to resemble what we now know as the good Yahoo Portal.

Will there be any difference? Probably not.

One Great Level About Google News:

They have given the ability to you to customize your page to show whatever media topics you want. Only look at the right side for a button that says 'Customize this page New'! .. When you click on this link a drop down box shows you all of the major issues you have listed within your page. Simply click o-n the topic you intend to customize or remove. The most effective part of everything is that you can click on 'Add a custom section' and simply search for the topic you need shown on your site.

Overall you are able to create an entire custom information site (writer articles) that connect with your market..
